Jamie was reputed to be
 the Queen Mother's favourite jockey

Jamie Osborne was long regarded as one of our best National Hunt jockeys through the late 1980’s and 1990’s. His 900 winners included eleven Cheltenham Festival successes, two Hennessy Gold Cups and in Ireland an Irish Grand National and Champion Hurdle.

In 2000 he turned his attention to training flat horses at the historic Kingsdown Stables in Upper Lambourn. With well over 300 winners to date, he is now firmly established in the premiership of young trainers.

The yard has evolved into a major source of high-class two year old winners, including the Champion Milk it Mick. Jamie is steering the team forward with skilful management of his horses as last year’s total of 61 winners proves.

The team for 2008 is the biggest yet with over fifty two year olds to run for the yard and several high class older horses including last year’s Royal Ascot winners Drawnfromthepast and Enjoy the Moment. Geordieland will continue to ply his trade at the highest level, hoping to go one better than last year in the Ascot Gold Cup.

The yard specialises in the trading of horses into the worldwide markets. Jamie’s knowledge and contacts have seen many clients receive healthy dividends from the sale of their racehorses and this continues to be the cornerstone of the business and a route to happy and solvent clients.
